Did You Know That Gildan Owns These Brands?

by Gooten Editorial Team on Dec. 8, 2023

At Gooten, one of the things we’re most proud of is providing our print on demand sellers with access to esteemed brands, including products from widely-known apparel companies. One of the best examples of this is Gildan, a name that should be familiar to anyone who’s ever bought a custom or print on demand T-shirt.

In the past, we’ve extolled the virtues of the Gildan brand, making it clear why we’re so pleased to stock it in the Gooten catalog. For example, we’ve been quick to note Gildan’s use of preshrunk jersey cotton, heavyweight and long-lasting. And, we’ve touted the fact that Gildan’s apparel products are sustainably manufactured and ethically sourced, something that many of our print on demand sellers feel passionate about.

But here’s something you might not know: The Gildan brand isn’t actually one brand at all, but rather it’s a portfolio of great products sold under a variety of different brand names. In fact, there are probably several brands you’ve heard of that exist under the Gildan umbrella, several of which we’re pleased to offer at Gooten.

Other Brands

So far, we’ve only given you the tip of the iceberg. There are plenty of other brands in the Gildan family, and while we don’t currently offer these products here at Gooten, they attest to the rich legacy of the Gildan name. Examples include:

  • Goldtoe. Since 1935, Goldtoe has been one of the foremost names in comfy, supportive, well-constructed socks. The company covers everything from athletic socks to normal wear.
  • Peds. The Gildan family also includes Peds, a top name in supportive women’s athletic socks and other footwear.
  • Under Armour. Gildan also boasts a partnership with Under Armour, a prolific manufacturer of athletic wear, footwear, and casual apparel.

The bottom line: Gildan isn’t just a brand. It’s practically a dynasty. And we’re thrilled to have an integral relationship with them here at Gooten.
