Expand Your Print-on-Demand Business in Brazil

by Gooten Editorial Team on Jul. 14, 2022

Selling globally and expanding your target market is a critical strategy for any eCommerce company looking to scale their business. That’s why we are extremely excited to announce that we have partnered with a new apparel manufacturer in Brazil to produce and fulfill two of our most popular t-shirts: Bella + Canvas 3001 and 6004

As the 6th largest country in the world and with digital commerce growing in Latin America by 30% every year through 2025, the Brazilian market is a highly lucrative market to tap into for your print-on-demand business.

By having a localized apparel vendor in the country, Gooten is able to eliminate the delays that are often experienced at customs—meaning faster production and shipping for your local customers within the region.

The Brazilian eCommerce Market

Brazil is the largest country in South America in terms of both area and population. With over 200 million people and a fast growing eCommerce industry, Brazil has a great market to help expand your PoD business. With a quickly growing middle class that continues to spend more money on online purchases every year, you will see even more opportunities when marketing your custom on-demand products to Brazilian customers.

Historically, Brazil has more custom and trade rules compared to other countries in the region. Because of this, many small to medium sized eCommerce business have found that shipping to the country can be costly, time-consuming, and prone to errors.

Brazil’s strict trade laws has led to typical shipping times—for countries producing products outside of the country—from 10 to 30 business days. This is not ideal for eCommerce businesses whose customers expect much quicker production and shipping timelines.

On top of long shipping times, it can also be costly to ship to Brazil due to the country’s customs bureaucracy and closed economy, making the final price of the goods more expensive in the country than elsewhere. Every good purchased on international websites is subject to taxation upon arrival in Brazil, with import duty fees ranging anywhere from 10% to 35% depending on the product.

Lastly, If information is not properly reported during the shipping process, there can also be chargebacks (more money) and returns back to the vendor (more time).

Gooten’s Newest Apparel Production Partner in Brazil

The good news? You can ignore all those issues listed above because Gooten just added a new Brazilian vendor to our manufacturing network so you can start selling in Brazil with ease and lower costs! At this time, we are fulfilling our two of our most popular t-shirt models: Bella + Canvas 3001 and 6004. Below are the colors for each model that we will be fulfilling, producing and shipping with our local Brazilian vendor:

Bella + Canvas 3001

The Unisex Jersey Crew Neck Tee will be available in the following colors: Black, White, Athletic Gray Heather, Navy, Red, Orange, Kelly Green, True Royal, Charity Pink, Storm, Gold, and Maize.

Bella + Canvas 6004

The estimated production times for these products are:

  • Non-peak periods: 3 business days
